During what time period was your subject President? What were some of the challenges he faced in office? How was life in America different during his term?
My president was john f Kennedy. His term took place 1961-1963. He was assassinated in 1963, they say "lee Harvey Oswald". Who shot him in the head. Some of the challenges he encountered was getting his civil rights act to level with some people. Many people also dint agrees with his ideas and choices involved in the Cuban missile crisis. America was different because we were in the vitnob war and many people did not like the fact we were there. Also it was in the 60's so there were old fashion cars, TV’s and toasters.
Woodrow Wilson was the presidemt of the United States of America from 1912-1921. Some of the challenges for Wilson while in office were whether to fight in World War 1 which he did in 1917. In 1919 Woodrow Wilson attended a peace conference in Paris which helped draw up the Treaty of Versailles. He also found the League of Nations, and in 1920 he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Woodrow Wilson died in Washington D.C. on Sunday February 3, 1924 at 11:15.
My person is Thomas Jefferson. He was the 3rd President of the United States. He was also President of the United States from 1801 to 1809. So basicly he was President for 8 years.
the president i did was Abraham lincoln. His term was from may 1861-april 1895.he was the U.S 16th president. some challenges he faced was the united states splitting up, slavery in the south, and trying to win the civil war and keep the union together.during his term slaves became free because of the emancipation proclomation. Lincoln was assassinated in april 1865 while watching a play in a theater. At this time the U.S was expanding by buying provinces like kentucky. life was industrial.
George Washington was the 1st president of the United States of America. First he was elected Commander and Chief of the Continental Army in 1775. Then time went by with a war going on. Then after the war the Articles of Confederation were formed. George Washington soon noticed that the Articles weren’t working so he became the person that took on the role of fixing the Articles in 1787. Then the new constitution was ratified and then the Electoral College elected George Washington president. Life in America was so much better during his term because he got America going and he was the beginning of the country that we are today.
